Dr. Marita Schünemann B.Ch.D (US) PDD Orthodontics (UP)

Dr. Marita was born in Windhoek and completed her Abitur at the DHPS in Windhoek. She then decided to study Dentistry at the University of Stellenbosch and received upon completion of the course in 2003 medals for Pedodontics (Children’s teeth) and Prostodontics (Replacement of teeth with Dentures and Crowns).

She has been involved with the Matie-Gemeenskapsdiens as leader of the dental outreach programs during her time in South Africa. She has completed her Postgraduate Diploma Training in Orthodontics at the University of Pretoria in 2007.

After completion of her studies she has been working in high profile practices, where she gained a significant amount of experience, before starting her own practice in Windhoek on Bismarck 49 in 2009.

Claudia Geiger – Diploma in Oral Hygiene (University of Stellenbosch)

Claudia was born and raised in Windhoek. She went to the DSW/DOSW until 1997, then she spent her last 3 school years at La Rochelle Girls High in Paarl, South Africa. She matriculated here in 2000. She completed her Diploma in Oral Hygiene at the University of Stellenbosch in 2003.

She decided to go overseas and worked in a dental practice in Munich, Germany as an assistant and hygienist for 4 years.

Once she returned to Namibia she started working with Dr. Marita shortly after the practice opened and is planning to stay in the dental team of Bismarck 49 for many years to come.

Claudia completed her Expanded Functions in Oral Hygiene course with UWC in 2022 in order to stay up to date with the current University standards.

She emphasizes on good instructions and teaching the patient to help themselves in order to achieve a good oral hygiene, and in return enjoy good oral health.
